Transgender Day of Remembrance
South Carolina Memorials;

These TDOR memorials are held as part of a international remembrance of those transgender and gender nonconforming persons killed by violence in the past 12 months. They began in 1999 as a memorial for trans-activist, Rita Hester and have been held on or around November 20th, every year since. These candle light memorials will have speakers, presentations , and a reading of the names with the circumstances of their death (if known). Those attending will have an opportunity to share, if they wish. All events are free and friends, family and the public are very welcome to come and show their support!
